Securing Your Developer Account
For increased security, we enforce that you configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect your Integration Portal account. MFA adds security because it requires users to type a unique authentication code from an approved authentication device when they access the Integration Portal.
The Integration Portal supports a security token-based MFA system where an MFA application generates a six-digit numeric code based upon a time-synchronized one-time password algorithm.
Prepare for MFA
Download one of these recommended applications on your trusted mobile device.
- LastPass Authenticator
- Authy
- Google Authenticator - Android, iOS
After you install the application, make sure that your device is set to the correct time for your time zone. Otherwise, the authentication codes that you receive may not work when you enter them into the Integration Portal.
Enable MFA
- Logging into the Integration Portal for the first time without MFA will prompt you set one up.
- Click Enable MFA when prompted.
- Open your authenticator application and scan the QR code on screen.
- Type the code generated by the authenticator application in the Authenticator code field then click Submit.
MFA is now enabled. Subsequent logins will require a MFA code
Trust a device
After you have enabled MFA, you will see a checkbox Trust this device for 30 days on the page of entering MFA code when you log in to the Integration Portal. If you enable this option, your device will be remembered for 30 days, and you don’t need to enter MFA for logging in to the Integration Portal during this period of time.
Replace a device
If your authenticator application supports restore from backup functionality, it is highly recommended that you choose that instead.
- Log in to the Integration Portal with your username and password.
- In the MFA code screen, type the code generated by your authenticator application from your old device.
- Click your name in the top-right corner then select Profile.
- Click Disable MFA in your profile page.
- Enter your password to complete the process.
- Click Enable MFA in your profile page.
- Use the authenticator application on your new device to scan the QR code.
- Type the code generated by the authenticator application in the Authenticator code field then click Submit.
Recover your account
If you have lost access to your MFA device; contact your Gentrack Customer Support Representative for an MFA reset.
