GCIS Data Gateway - End of Life
Summary
Support for Gentrack’s GCIS Data Gateway product will end on 30th November 2026.
Background
For customers who self-host an instance of Velocity or Junifer, Data Gateway is a standalone product acting as a communication broker between their instance and GCIS Cloud Services. However, as of 2020 use of Data Gateway has been optional, as we now support direct connection to Gentrack Cloud Integration Services.
What Is Changing
From 1st December 2026, all Data Gateway Docker images will be removed from DockerHub. Existing deployments may continue to work, but functionality is not guaranteed, and Gentrack will no longer provide technical support for it, or release patches or upgrades. References to Data Gateway will be removed from Gentrack documentation pages.
Why it needs to change
Data Gateway no longer provides any essential functionality, and direct connection offers a simpler and more performant alternative.
How This Affects You
If you self-host Velocity or Junifer and are still running Data Gateway, you should update your settings to connect directly to GCIS Cloud Services, and remove Data Gateway from your systems, following the instructions linked below.
